love this woman.
Why are you doing this? Our dear, brilliant friend Lizbeth Wawrzonek has a brain tumor. When the surgery that removed 90% of her tumor left her unable to speak or walk or remember certain words or our names, she found her way back. As she continues to kick this tumor’s ass and amaze us all with her open mind and boundless strength, we want to find a way to help. Raising money for Liz is the way. We plan to raise at least $10,000 for Liz, to help cover some of the cost of lost income over these many months of her recovery and chemotherapy treatments. Chances are many of us have experienced Liz’s generosity of spirit. It’s time we beam some of that warmth back to her.
Who is organizing it? We are a group of Liz's close friends in Minneapolis with help from Liz's family.
How is Liz doing? It will be a long road to recovery, but Liz is taking each step with strength and determination. She's in the middle of chemo right now, and will start radiation treatments later this year.
Will every penny go to Liz? Not every penny, but almost. Credit card donations will have the standard 2.75% fee. The fundraiser itself will have minor costs. But everything else goes to Liz.
